The art and science of Marketing has made events like Valentines day a big event. Named after the name of a English chap the occasion has become massively popular among Indian youth which not only includes love birds and their teasing friends but communists groups like Bajrang dal, Sri Raam Sena and other socialist/communist small groups.
Recent Bangalore incident where few Hindu fanatics (Sri Raam Seena/SRS) smashed up a pub and thought that is not enough so even molested women enjoying their time inside. Amazingly the logic given by them was that pubbing is not Indian culture.
Why the hell these people wake up about pubbing when its been there for almost a decade in Bangalore. If I were to believe in SRS policy and activities then my first question would be where the hell were these people when pubs were being opened.
I thought to write about this as even I consider myself to be a communist, an extremist to rich HINDU values. While judging the act on Hindu values I thought to put the entire process of SRS activity in and around pub to qualify with the Hindu value system.
1. Planning the event—while it was evident that a small/large amount of time went in to plan the event/attack. As per Hindu tradition while planning any act/ocassion/event or let it be an attack on the enemy it is strictly made sure that women and children should be safe, treated respectfully. Lesson taught by Ramayana.
There were women in pub and this fact was well known to the SRS people.
Thus the very first step of their attack or in their language "clean up process" doesn’t qualify as an act of a Hindu.
2. Attacking, beating & Molesting boys/ girls :- Hindu dharma talks about personal freedom. It says clearly that one will live life as per his/her karma. Beating boys and molesting girls was again a non Hindu act as first of all these people are not authorized to do so and even somehow GOD came in their dream and requested them to make sure that Hindu dharma is followed then also they should first request people to leave from the place………… clearly telling them that non-compliance of which will lead to such trouble.
This is what is told in GITA. Even lord Krishna requested before Mahabharata(kurukshetra) war that anybody who doesn’t want to participate or want to change sides can happily do so.
Bhishma pitamah in Mahabharata didn’t fight with Shikhandi and chose to be killed by him/her. One of the main reason for this was his knowledge about shikhandi being women in previous birth, though few other reasons were also there.
Again SRS fails to act in accordance with Hindu values.
3. No help from police constables or people standing nearby:- As per kshatriya dharma/value system guards of a kingdom should protect/respect the people more then their own life. We can term police people as royal guards of Kingdom named India or should I say Bharat.
These people were standing outside the pub without making a single effort to help people and stop this un-Hindu act.
This is where our internal law & order system disqualifies to confirm with Hindu values.
Alternative act confirming Hindu Values:- Though I would let people decide their own way and place to chill/hang out. Still the Heinous act could have been carried out in a bit different way which could have confirmed with Hindu values.
They could have gone to the pubs before their opening time and would have barred people specially girls entering the pub. Obviously this act should have been backed by an official administrative permission. SRS should have filed a case in government against all pub owners and alcohol companies seeking their permanent closure.
Another very grueling truth is that police was not ready to act against these people till any FIR is filed. Another big problem which doesn’t confirm Hindu values. I hope groups like these should first confirm their own act first whether it complies to Hindu value system or not then reach out to teach others.
I am encouraged by the kind of movements, people have started, against these groups. The Pink chuddi campaign and pub bharo andolan. These both campaigns actually confirm 100% to Hindu values or at-least never surpass/violate any of the hindu values.
